2020 April Newsletter

Glenview Stays Home

Since our last newsletter, the world has changed in a way none of us could have ever imagined.

During this time the FDG steering committee (pictured here on Zoom) has remained focused on one of our primary goals – supporting our Downtown businesses.  But it’s you, our loyal residents who have really stepped up. From creating supportive signs for Heinen’s incredible staff, to nominating local health care heroes to be recognized in Glenview Grind’s windows, we have heard many stories about acts of kindness around Glenview. The simple gesture of helping someone receive groceries or delivering a meal will leave a lasting mark as we all navigate this extraordinary situation.

Now more than ever, we would like to hear from you – please send us photos and/or stories of great things happening around Glenview.  Wishing you good health until we can meet again Downtown.

Support Downtown Businesses – Order Carry Out

One of the best ways to keep our Downtown on track is to support our many restaurants that are offering carry out and delivery.

Below is a list of Downtown Glenview businesses that are open. Many have the helpful green “yes we are open” sign pictured here. Please use this comprehensive directory created by the Glenview Chamber of Commerce to check hours and availability in advance: Dining In Glenview.

Show Gratitude for Health Care Heroes

Tie a blue ribbon on a tree or mailbox in front of your home to show thanks and support for our health care workers. You can pick-up a blue ribbon at the Glenview Grind drive-thru. What a great way to show the 💙!
