Award-winning photographer and Glenview resident Carol Freeman has spent 20 years documenting threatened and endangered species in Illinois, from the grass pink orchid to the short-eared owl. Her traveling exhibition “Endangered Beauty” presents her photography along with information about these rare species and has been featured at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago among other locations in the state. Freeman is writing a companion book by the same name, scheduled to be published in October 2019. She is also the founder of Team Green Environmental Network.
