Village Plan Commission to Discuss Bess Site Plans on Oct. 22

On Oct. 22 at 6:45pm, the Village Plan Commission will be receiving resident comments related to the The Drake Group’s plans for the redevelopment of the former Bess Hardware site.

To date, the plans have included building renderings for a mixed-use building (as pictured here) with first floor retail space, at-grade parking, and also four stories of apartment units. In June 2018, FDG thoughtfully presented design criteria necessary for the proposed Bess redevelopment to meet the needs of the residents, local businesses, and to satisfy the language of the 2006 Downtown Revitalization Plan, which was reviewed in 2017. FDG seeks a project that is attractive, active and productive. Current plans can be viewed on the Village website in the middle of this page.
